Community Matters

Educating our younger generation

Supporting our community is important within business and something we have built into our DNA here at Data Image Group. Educating our younger generation is vital for the future of our environment and planet. We have been very fortunate to have been able to support numerous local charities and academies.

Countesthorpe Academy

When Countesthorpe Academy asked if we could present some insights to their “A level” design students into sustainability and greener alternates to single use within print and design we jumped at the chance. Andrew McHugh (Senior Design Technician at Countesthorpe Academy) feedback that the information shared was invaluable to the students and the samples of chairs and stools shown were greatly received.

Child Bereavement UK

In the Autumn of 2021, we were asked by Child Bereavement UK if we could help them with providing PPE face shields for their volunteers at Rock Fest. Having supported this amazing charity through the pandemic it was a pleasure to supply their fund raisers with 1000 face shields giving them protection as they collected funds during this event.

Elijah’s Star Team

In January 2022 we were beyond proud to have supported the Elijah’s Star Team who rowed across the Atlantic as part of the Talisker Atlantic Challenge raising funds for babies who were born prematurely. We designed and installed their boat vinyl which showcased all the generous sponsors who gave so much to the team contributing to the amazing total raised. The four-man team completed the crossing in 37 days days and raised over £300,000.

Spratton Hall

When we get the chance and can, we also relish in offering our support to our local schools at the “Harry Potter Day” at Spratton Hall, one of our colleagues was struggling in creating a costume for her son. No problem we said and before you could say “Wingardium Leviosa” our talents R&D Manager had created a full sustainable Knight Bus created from 100% recyclable material.

UK Govt Kickstarter Scheme

As we came out of the pandemic, and the government introduced Kickstarter to assist in providing experience in the work environment to students and university leavers we created a role within our artwork dept. Having joined us on a 6-month program we are pleased to advise that Gemma McCarthy was then taken on board as a full-time member of our team as a Graphic Designer.

Our CEO and founder Robert Farfort believes that whenever and wherever it’s important to “give a little back” If as a business we can do this with the added value of education and learning for our next generation then as a team we think it’s worth every minute of our time.
