Swedboard UK Launch at Data Image

Last week we had great time hosting the Swedboard UK launch at Data Image. The day started by setting up the room with tables and stools made from Swedboard’s material. Sample chairs made from SB Fibre Premium also featured. Tommy Andersson started the event off with a brief introduction to Swedboard. He then discussed Swedboard’s mission to become a supplier of environmentally friendly boards to the printing industry. In addition to explaining Swedboard’s mission Tommy also showcased the benefits and flexibility that Swedboard has to offer.

Partnerships and Presentations

Following on from that we also had a talk from our CEO and Founder of Data Image, Robert Farfort. Robert spoke about sustainability in the print industry following up with an environmental discussion within the market. After Robert’s talk Mark Brown, Iggesund/Holmen, supplier to Swedboard discussed about sustainability in further detail. The day also organised for Dayrell and Melanie from ESKO together with Garry to demonstrate how our automated robotic cutting bed, operates.

Talks from Dayrell Pelling, Kurt Aldén and Mark Browne then took place. The talks went into much more detail in terms of the type of material used for indoor and outdoor settings. Swedboard provides an eco-friendly alternative to MDF.

Guests and Games

After the talk Swedboard held an interactive portion of the afternoon where all the guests took part to put together the sample chair’s in the quickest time possible. The game was a great addition to the afternoon as not only did the guests get to see the SB Fibre sample chairs up close, but also have some fun at the event with the activities Swedboard had set out.

In addition to the game Swedboard also presented questionnaires on the SB Fibre tables; with the winner receiving 50% off one pallet of SB material on their next order. With the introduction of the Z-Endless board, also displayed as a backpiece at the event for guests to view the capability of the board. Swedboard introduced their foldup Z-Endless board with the board being made up of either SB Fibre or SB Composite Premium.

The portable fold up includes 3D construction that is easy to assemble and transport. Swedboard displayed a demonstration of how easy the board is to assemble ensuring to emphasise the importance of using environmentally friendly solutions. The most exciting announcement of the day discussed the launch of a new material in the future called SB Solid Premium; giving the guests an insight on what to look forward to from Swedboard in the future.

Feeling a Fika

Mid-way through the talks it was time for some nibbles and drinks. In true Swedish style, a fika took place as well as a variety of sandwiches and selection of fruit which the guests thoroughly enjoyed. With the event coming to an end each of Swedboard’s guests left with their own sample boxes including material samples such as SB composite material.

Overall, everyone had a great time at the event. Learning about what Swedboard has on offer and interacting with fellow peers within the print industry was very insightful. Food and company were great and Swedboard received lot of positive feedback from their guests. Tommy directly thanked our CEO and Founder, Robert, and our Head of Sales, Rachel, for the use of our facility for the event and it was our pleasure to host this event for Swedboard here at Data Image Group Ltd.
