Solutions 3D design

See how the idea will work.

Turn a brief into a clear spatial concept, with materials, dimensions and fabrication considered together.

What we can help with.

01

Spatial concepts and visualisation

Visuals that show how a display or space could look at its real size.

02

Display development and prototyping

Models, samples and prototypes that test the idea before the build.

03

Design for manufacture

Concepts worked through into something that can be made, moved and assembled.

Start with the brief.

Explore proportions and visitor flow before committing to the build. The next step can be a model, sample or prototype suited to your project.

Useful details to share

Application, dimensions, location, timing and any existing artwork. An early idea is enough to start.

An idea to explore

Here’s one way it could work.

Concept 3D design product replicas

A small product. A big talking point.

An oversized bottle turns an everyday object into a focal point, with a smaller prototype showing the thinking behind the shape.

Explore the idea

What the design stage can include.

Not every project needs all of these. We’ll suggest what’s useful for the decisions you need to make.

  • Concept sketchesEarly ideas explored quickly, before one direction is developed.
  • 3D visualsViews that show materials, graphics and proportions in context.
  • Technical drawingsDimensioned plans, elevations and details for approvals and for making.
  • Scale modelsPhysical models for checking proportions, sightlines and how people move around.
  • PrototypesFull-size, unprinted samples to test structure, assembly and how products sit.
  • Material samplesFinishes and print tests on the actual material, to judge in the hand.
  • Replica objectsLarger- or smaller-than-life versions of a product, developed from the real thing.
  • Artwork templatesGuides that let graphics be designed to the real structure.

Worth thinking about early.

Real dimensions

We’d draw to the size of the space, the product and the people using it, so proportions on screen match proportions on site.

How materials behave

Board, timber, acrylic and metal bend, join and finish differently. The material is part of the design, not a decision for later.

Getting it built

Panel sizes, weights and joins affect how something travels and goes together. They’re easier to settle on screen than on site.

Budget

Share a budget range if you have one. It helps us propose a design that can go ahead.

Questions we’re asked.

Do we need a finished design before we talk?

No. A sketch, a photograph of the space and a line about what it needs to do is enough to start.

Can you develop our agency’s concept?

Yes. We can take an existing concept and work through the materials, dimensions and construction with your creative team.

What will we see before we approve?

That depends on the project. It might be visuals and drawings, a scale model, a material sample or a full-size prototype. We’ll suggest what’s useful for the decisions you need to make.

Can one design work for several events or stores?

Often, if we know at the start. Tell us where it needs to go and we’ll consider which parts stay the same and which change.
